To support its field projects, Frontier-Kemper maintains large shop and fabrication facilities at its Evansville location for specialized equipment and structures for the mining and construction industries. Frontier-Kemper's engineering staff includes registered electrical, mechanical, and structural engineers, and assists the shop and field projects requiring design and/or close quality control. The broad scope of experience and the flexible capabilities of Frontier-Kemper's in-house engineering department have been able to solve many unusual construction problems: mining techniques have been applied to civil projects, and civil construction methods have been applied to mining projects.

The capabilities offered by the engineering group include machinery and equipment rebuilds, mine hoist rebuild, mining equipment upgrade and repair, conveying equipment construction, headframe design and fabrication, tunnel concrete form design and fabrication, and an electrical shop fully equipped to design and install mine hoist controls and other underground electrical equipment.

Our FKC-Lake Shore Divison provides design, manufacturing and installation services for the entire line of hoisting equipment formerly manufactured by Lake Shore Mining Company, Inc., including cages, skips, head frames, hoists, elevators and vertical belts.

Interoc Service Center

Interoc is an enterprise of the Deilmann-Haniel Group in Dortmund, Germany, manufacturing a broad line of high-capacity equipment for foundation and tie-back drilling, and designed for severe service. Marketed throughout the world, Interoc drilling machinery is of the highest quality.

Interoc has appointed Frontier-Kemper its North American Factory Service Center, with long-time mechanic Rick Stevens completing intensive factory training in Germany. Interoc will also warehouse new machines and major parts in Frontier-Kemper's Evansville facilities for shipment to distributors and end-users in North America.
